Five-time Grammy Award-winning artist Brandon Lake has been nominated for his first Country Music Association (CMA) Award for his “Hard Fought Hallelujah” collaboration with country music star Jelly Roll.

Earlier this year, Lake and Jelly Roll were awarded Song of the Year for “Hard Fought Hallelujah” at the 2025 K-LOVE Fan Awards.

The song has been nominated for the CMA’s award for Musical Event of the Year, the winners of which will be announced during the ceremony’s live broadcast on Nov. 17 inside the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lake shared a video of himself on Instagram holding a guitar as he watched this year’s CMA Award nominees be announced. After hearing his name being called for the nomination, Lake raised his hands in the air and screamed, “Hey!,” before telling his fans, “Musical Event of the Year. Jelly Roll. Brandon Lake. We got a nomination!”

“YALL!!! 🤯🤯🤯 What the heck?!! What an honor,” Lake wrote next to his video. “So thankful to @jellyroll615 for carrying this song with me. Thank you @cma for recognizing what’s happening with this song and collaboration. And to God be all the glory!”

In 2023, Jelly Roll won the CMA Award for New Artist and has yet to receive a Grammy, although he’s been nominated four times.

Jelly Roll responded in the comments, “YEAHHH BUBBAAAA.”

Others congratulated Lake on his nomination, including “American Idol” finalist Breanna Nix, who said, “As it should! SO good. 🔥.” Christian musician and “Reckless Love” artist, Cory Asbury, wrote, “HUGEEEE!! Congrats, bro!! 🤠🤠.” And Lake’s Summer Worship Nights colleague, Phil Wickham, posted, “LETSSSSS GOOOOOO.”
