Those of us who lead have been trusted with two important elements: the responsibility to lead and the power of heaven to actually see life-changing, eternal results.

Just when you think a particular agenda can’t be pushed any further—or in more ridiculously strained ways—you can still be surprised. The latest is the claim that Jesus could have been trans.

The idea that creative breakthroughs happen during dreaming is as old as the ancient world. The Bible is even filled with references to men and women receiving divine messages during dreams.

In a recent interview on the Stetzer ChurchLeaders Podcast, author and Bible teacher Jen Wilkin addressed misconceptions Christians have about reading the Bible and also offered suggestions for how church leaders can help congregants engage with the Bible well.

Although the percentage of LGBTQ-identifying people in your church is likely lower than the general population, odds are that it is something north of 0%. This is both a challenge and a privilege.

Defining reality for those we lead us has not been a one-time action during the pandemic. The grief and losses people are experiencing in this season is not something we can deal with once and then casually move past.

It is that lack of experience, however, that often trips up young leaders. I see them making the same mistakes, easily correctible mistakes, over and over again.

These days, the name “Christian” seems to evoke as many negative reactions as it does positive ones. This bothers me. Does it bother you?
