Tim Allen Says Erika Kirk’s Example Prompted Him To Forgive Man Who Killed His Father

On Sunday, Sept. 21, Erika Kirk spoke at the memorial service for her husband, Charlie Kirk, who was murdered on Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. She made headlines and moved people across the political spectrum when she told attendees she forgave the young man who assassinated Charlie.

“I forgive him because it was what Christ did and is what Charlie would do,” Erika said. “The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.”
