With his new book “Pagan Threat: Confronting America’s Godless Uprising,” Pastor Lucas Miles is raising alarm bells regarding paganism—not only in the culture but in churches.
Miles is the lead pastor Nfluence Church in Granger, Indiana, and the senior director of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) Faith.
TPUSA founder, Charlie Kirk, endorsed the book before he was assassinated. “A fearless warrior for Christ. Lucas is a man built to stand for the truth in a time of great apostasy,” Kirk wrote. “Don’t just read ‘Pagan Threat’—internalize what it has to say. Then, share its message with your Christian friends, before they are seduced by Paganism themselves. We have a faith and a country to save.”
Miles argues that modern paganism, which he describes as a mix of Marxism and pagan ideology, is infiltrating the church and society, particularly affecting young women. Miles emphasizes the need for the church to recognize and address this issue, highlighting the importance of returning to biblical teachings and resisting the allure of new-age practices.

In the book, Miles urges church leaders and parents to be more informed and proactive in guiding the younger generation.
“This should be something that’s on everybody’s radar,” Miles told ChurchLeaders. “It’s especially affecting Gen Z and it’s especially affecting young women.”
Miles added:
I feel like the church is not fully awake to this issue. And I think it’s really critical to get it in front of people’s eyes so that we can see where this is moving and how we can prepare our hearts and our congregations and our families to be able to stand up against this pagan uprising…There’s about 1.5 million people that consider themselves pagan in America today. That number is expected to triple by 2050. That in itself is concerning, but I don’t think that’s the biggest alarm to this.
What is more alarming, Miles said, is the rise of “soft paganism.”
