In a recent video livestreamed on Twitch, Grammy Award-winning singer Justin Bieber sat down for a candid discussion about Jesus and the Bible with his friends, including former WWE wrestler Josh Bredl (Bronson Matthews).
Bieber and his friends used explicit language throughout the conversation, including describing the Bible as a “b*tch (slang).”
One person told Bieber that he loves having “conversations with people, people in our places, people in your place—hearing you talk about your relationship with God and how you’re viewing the world, bro…this conversation could change lives.”
Bieber shared how it is important to him to be “around people who have, like, that strong appetite for growth and they want to be better.”
The “Yummy” singer went on to say, “The common misconception is that we can control anything.” That prompted one of his friends to bring up something Pastor Judah Smith recently said: “We’re too focused on achieving instead of receiving.”
Bieber then began to talk about his faith in Jesus, particularly how God reminds him of Scripture even though he can’t remember where it is located in the Bible.
“Jesus also one-ups it by saying, like, if you even think of a woman with lust, it’s the same thing as actually doing it—committing adultery or whatever,” Bieber explained. “It’s the same thing. So if it even just crosses your mind for one second…if you treat a man with anger, it’s the same as killing a man, Scripture says.”
So, Bieber joked, “I killed, like, 10 people this week.”
Someone asked Bieber how he came to learn the Bible. Bieber answered, “The Scripture says, ‘I will remind you of the things that I’ve told you.’ And he just reminds me.” Bieber continued, “[God] knows what I want. He knows that I want this for other people. So I think he puts it in my brain.”

“I might not even know what Scripture it is or where it is in the Bible—I just remember the Scripture,” Bieber added. “I don’t really know where it’s at, but I know it’s in that b*tch.”
