On this week’s episode of “The Voice,” Kirbi from Team Niall received accolades for performing “Hard Fought Hallelujah” by Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll. The 24-year-old singer from Florence, Alabama, later posted on Instagram, “This song means so much to me and I just can’t believe I had the chance to sing it here.”

The episode that aired on Monday (Nov. 24) concluded Season 28’s Knockouts, with Kirbi advancing to the Playoffs.

For her blind audition on “The Voice,” Kirbi sang a powerful rendition of for KING + COUNTRY’s Grammy Award-winning song “God Only Knows.” That performance earned the contemporary Christian singer a rare four-chair turn from the judging panel.

On Monday’s episode of “The Voice,” Kirbi explained that “Hard Fought Hallelujah”—written and originally performed by Christian artist Brandon Lake—was very meaningful to her. Former One Direction pop star Niall Horan, Kirbi’s coach on “The Voice,” praised her “unbelievable” performance on Monday’s show. Horan added that he loves it when “girls cover guys’ songs.”

“I feel like I’m gonna pass out,” Horan told Kirbi. “That was your best performance to date, without a shadow of a doubt. It was beautiful to watch, beautiful to listen to, you just smashed it.”
