Stryper’s Michael Sweet Has Been Diagnosed With Papillary Thyroid Cancer

Sweet concluded his post by telling his fans he “can’t wait to see you on the road in 2026” and wished them a Merry Christmas.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, papillary thyroid cancer is the most common type of thyroid cancer and when treated is rarely fatal.

Last month, Stryper released their first Christmas album, titled “The Greatest Gift of All.”
