Adams said that the way he found meaning during the first part of his life was in being “a worthy husband and parent.” After his marriage ended, he turned his focus to helping “the world” by imparting “life lessons” to others. This goal resulted in him becoming an author of various books apart from his work as a cartoonist.
“I also started podcasting a live show called ‘Coffee with Scott Adams’ dedicated to helping people think about the world and their lives in a more productive way,” Adams said. “I didn’t plan it this way, but it ended up helping lots of lonely people find a community that made them less lonely. Again, that had great meaning to me.”
“I had an amazing life. I gave it everything I had,” he concluded. “If you got any benefits from my work, I’m asking that you pay it forward as best as you can. That’s the legacy I want. Be useful. And please know I loved you all to the very end.”
People Pay Tribute to Scott Adams
Various leaders paid tribute to Adams online Tuesday, and many Christians celebrated his final comments about converting.
“So sad to hear of Scott Adams’ passing. But I’m deeply grateful to hear that he accepted Christ as Lord and Savior—and is now face to face with his Lord,” said former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis.
“Jesus’ parable of the vineyard workers reminds us of this profound truth: salvation is not earned by longevity or effort, but given by grace,” she said. “Whether called early or late, all who belong to Christ receive the same inheritance: eternal life. That is the breathtaking generosity and grace of our God.”
Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet posted, “Scott Adams just passed. With his final breath on this earth he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.”
“He was useful to the world right up to the very end, just as he set out to do,” said Kolvet. “May he rest in eternal glory and peace.”
Conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey reposted Kolvet, saying, “Wow. How good is the grace of God? As Jesus told the thief on the cross…‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.’ Luke 23:43.”
President Donald Trump posted, “Sadly, the Great Influencer, Scott Adams, has passed away. He was a fantastic guy, who liked and respected me when it wasn’t fashionable to do so.”
“He bravely fought a long battle against a terrible disease,” said Trump. “My condolences go out to his family, and all of his many friends and listeners. He will be truly missed. God bless you Scott!”
“Scott Adams was a true American original, and a great ally to the President of the United States and the entire administration. My prayers go to Scott and all of you who loved him,” said Vice President J.D. Vance. “We lost one of the good ones but we’ll never forget him.”
“That he is with Jesus is EVERYTHING… meaning he is not dead but alive eternally and gloriously,” said author and commentator Eric Metaxas. “This is what it’s all about folks, in case you’re wondering. Open your heart to Jesus.”

“Scott Adams passed and I’m not here to speculate his final destination,” said content creator Lizzie, who goes by the handle @farmingandJesus. “Even a mustard seed of faith…..God can bring the increase. I hope we see him again and may the God of peace comfort his grieving family.”
