Evangelist Shane Pruitt is calling out “indecent exposure” at public events following the viral clips of a famous artist’s topless red carpet appearance at the Grammy Awards.

Pruitt serves as the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) director of next gen evangelism for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and recently released a free e-book titled “You Can’t Talk About That.” The book is aimed at helping parents and ministry leaders address the topics of sex, gender, and mental health with today’s students and young adults.

Olympic Ceremonies, Parades, Red Carpet events, Award Shows, etc.,” Pruitt posted on social media. “When Kids are present at public events ‘indecent exposure’ and ‘indecency with a child’ laws should still apply.”

“The normalization of celebrities and ideologies exposing themselves to kids is nothing short of demonic,” he added.

While walking the red carpet, Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Chappell Roan wore a sheer outfit that exposed her breasts. With her chest exposed, part of Roan’s dress appeared to be hanging from nipple piercings.

Following the awards, Roan posted a full-frontal image of herself wearing the outfit for her 7.6 million Instagram followers and responded to critics.

“Giggling because I don’t even think this is THAT outrageous of an outfit. The look’s actually so awesome and weird,” Roan said. “I recommend just exercising your free will it’s really fun and silly 😀 Thank you for having me @grammys and those who voted for me!!”

The image has been liked more than 1.5 million times.

In a follow-up post, Pruitt said, “There is no one too broken for Jesus to fix. There is no one too wounded for Jesus to heal. There is no one too guilty for Jesus to forgive. There is no one too sinful for Jesus to save.”

He then later stated, “May young people always be more influenced by the gospel, than the Grammys.”
