Vintage Church Announces Investigation Into Pastor, Former Acts 29 VP Tyler Jones’ Removal Over Long-Term ‘Inappropriate Relationship’

“As we said on Sunday, March 1, Tyler acknowledged the relationship to the elders. In our March 1 statement we specifically said he ‘admitted’ rather than ‘confessed,’ and this was intentional,” Pleasants said. “For clarity, this admittance happened only after others confronted Tyler directly, and only after this did Tyler disclose the situation directly to the elders.”

Vintage Church elders and staff are “seeking a great deal of counsel and wisdom” as they navigate the situation, Pleasants said.

The email concluded by encouraging Vintage Church members to attend the church’s upcoming Member’s Night scheduled for March 18. The evening will give members the opportunity to hear about next steps and discuss the church’s plans to move forward.
