Last December, Saint Andrew’s voted to leave the PCA after the denomination’s regional Central Florida Presbytery suspended its pastor, Burk Parsons. According to MinistryWatch, the committee had found Parsons guilty of charges that included accusations of bullying, slander, and “lording [his leadership] over others.”

This month, former Saint Andrew’s elder and member David Zima also was publicly excommunicated from the Florida church for contumacy. According to Zima, the church’s departure from the PCA “materially changed their theology as a church, which was a breach of our membership covenant.” Like Stephen and Heidi Nichols, Zima had already joined another congregation at the time of his excommunication from Saint Andrew’s.

Sons of Patriarchy,” a podcast working to expose what it calls abusive practices in Pastor Doug Wilson’s Idaho church, said it’s also “working on a miniseries” about Saint Andrew’s. In a recent Facebook post, Sons of Patriarchy accused the church, Ligonier Ministries, and Reformation Bible College of having “a reputation based on lies, manipulation, and cover-up, not on the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

ChurchLeaders reached out to Saint Andrew’s for comment and will update this article with any reply.
