President Trump Praises America’s ‘Resurrection of Faith’
Prior to Sunday, President Trump referenced the religious meaning of Easter. On Good Friday (April 3), the White House issued a written “Presidential Message on Easter” that quoted Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Corinthians 15:54. Christians have victory, life, and “everlasting hope,” the statement said, thanks to the suffering that Christ endured on the cross.
In a video posted on Good Friday, the president called Christ’s resurrection “the most glorious miracle in all of time.” He quoted John 3:16 and referenced the “true humility” and “true love” of Jesus. Because of Easter, Trump added, Christians know that “evil and wickedness will not prevail.”

America is experiencing “an extraordinary resurrection of faith and religion,” the president noted. He promised that church pews will be “fuller, younger, and more faithful than they have at any time in many, many years.” Instead of attending Easter worship yesterday, Trump drove to his Virginia golf club.
