When a reporter asked if Trump had posted the image depicting himself as Jesus Christ, the president said, “I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do with the Red Cross. There was a Red Cross worker there, which we support. Only the fake news could come up with that one.”

Young urged the president to apologize for his actions. “And if you can’t say that, you’ve got a real, real issue because that is the basis of knowing Christ, admitting the obvious, that we are sinners, that we’ve messed up,” said Young. “And in this situation, what you posted was highly offensive to Christians around the world. So step up. Do the right thing, be a man—because you always talk about that. Say, ‘I’m sorry and I was wrong.’”
