On Sunday, April 12, a church elder recognized Cintron’s good deed from the pulpit. The elder urged congregants to follow the teen’s example of not conforming to the world but being transformed by Christ. “We are so proud to claim Christ in him,” the church leader said of Jaydon.

After the worship service, Abide Bible Church held a reception for Cintron, with cake, a certificate, cards, and a T-shirt featuring his phrase, “Money is useless without character.”

At the reception, Cintron encouraged congregants to “be honest [and] just do what God tells you to do…even if you receive a lot of backlash from it, even if it doesn’t seem like the world appreciates what you do.” The teen added, “That’s a quote from my pastor, Charles Stanley.”

Cintron added, “Just remember to have good character, [and] don’t just read the Bible” but live it out.
