So in this season, as the label goes to the next level, they wanted somebody that could come in and really kind of sit in that seat, that COO, chief operating officer kind of role, and really help oversee the label on a day-to-day basis. Take it to the next level, recruit artists, develop artists, all the things.
So I guess my few years as a youth pastor have prepared me for this moment, to raise up young people. And not just young people, but young artists, no matter the age. So that’s kind of my role, along with being an artist on the label and releasing our songs through the Fresh Wine platform. We have the opportunity to recruit, retain, equip new and up-and-coming artists to be the next wave of worship—the new voices of the next generation.
I heard that you are going out on tour this summer. Give us all the details.
Johnny B: Yeah, we’re going on tour. Fresh Wine Records is doing some Fresh Wine Worship Nights all over the country. It kicks off July 19 in Dallas, Texas. We’ll actually be there that morning with some friends of ours who are in the band Avalon. They’re worship pastors at a church in Dallas. My wife and I will be leading worship alongside them that morning and then the tour officially kicks off in Dallas that night, July 19, and will run through the summer into October.

One date specifically that we’re super excited about is our Shift Conference happening in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at the end of August. It’s Aug. 26-30. We’ll be performing alongside Dante Bowe, Joel Barnes, and Aaron Moses. It’s just going to be a really special time.
