By next summer, the project plans to release a church resource kit on the topic. Two books also are in the works, including “Following Jesus in the Digital Age,” which Thacker is writing, and The Digital Public Square: Ethics and Religion in a Technological Society, an academic volume he is editing.

Regarding the second book, the ERLC tweeted yesterday: “Faced with deep polarization across society that is only exacerbated by the ubiquitous nature of digital connectivity, it is difficult at times for Christians to know how to navigate these challenges with truth and grace. We are thankful this resource is in the works!”

Last month, Thacker appeared on an episode of the ERLC’s “Capitol Conversations” podcast to discuss the benefits, challenges, and unintended consequences of technology and AI.
