Current culture is more complex, it’s changing rapidly, and we must keep up. The church is good at these things on the following list, but we must get better.

Maybe God’s masterpiece is less like a painting and more like a mosaic. A mosaic is the process of taking shards of material—glass, stone, or most anything else—and assembling them in a recognizable pattern.

Resurrection—Christ’s and ours—is a cornerstone of the Christian faith. Yet how many of us ponder what our resurrected selves will be like?

Widows and their care figure prominently in the agenda that God has set for His church. One of the earliest problems that arose in the Apostolic church was that the widows were being neglected.

When you lead out of balance, the Holy Spirit’s influence within you decreases because you’re focused on trying to find your way rather than allowing the Holy Spirit lead the way.

As church leaders, there is a connection between our beliefs on generosity, fundraising, funding, giving, and what happens in our churches. We must identify inherently negative ways of thinking and replace these thoughts with the mindset God desires of us. 

Those Christians who pause each Sunday morning to go to church need a pastor who has taken the time to read, think, and pray; someone who can deliver the good news in with power and insight. That starts with books for pastors capable of deepening our own life in Christ.

A young pastor asked me a great question once. His question was this: “What are the worst leadership traits that you’ve seen limit a leader’s potential to lead well?”
