Megan spent some time alone with her husband, telling him everything she wanted to before he passed and how much she loved him. She then told him that if he were still alive, he needed to fight because she was going to stop the organ donation process. That is exactly what she did, and she told the nurse she wanted tests run to see if Ryan were truly brain dead.
“Long story short,” said Megan, “He’s not brain dead my friends.” Tests found brain activity and blood flow in the area. What’s more, when Megan talked to Ryan and kissed his arm, his heart rate spiked. Now, doctors are saying Ryan is in a “deep coma.”
Megan was clear that her husband is still unresponsive and his condition is “very critical.” Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, has agreed to take him as a patient, but currently does not have a bed available. “I need ya’ll to go to church and pray,” said Megan. “I need you to go to church and pray for a bed.”
In an update Thursday, Megan said she is still waiting on a bed and that Ryan is having “trouble with secretions in his chest/airway…Please help us pray that the Lord dissolve [sic] these secretions and that the treatment will be successful and his body can stay strong through it!!!”
