Pastor Robert Jeffress: ‘Rotting Decay of Culture’ Will Lead to ‘Historic’ Conservative Turnout at Midterms

He encouraged victims of the devastation to take comfort from Isaiah 43:2, which says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

“I think they need to know God hasn’t deserted them,” said Jeffress. He urged those who were not directly hurt by the hurricane to help those who have been by praying for them and by offering their resources. “When you pray it changes things, but we need to put feet to our prayers,” said the pastor. He suggested that people do so by donating to Samaritan’s Purse, as well as other disaster relief organizations.
