Schultz acknowledged, “There have been a few, and they’re the outliers, who have commented that my response was too harsh. But, overwhelmingly the response has been quite the opposite…And there was no malice to the creator at all.” He said he tries to use the words of the Bible rather than his own as much as he can. “Sometimes the truth hurts, and I’d rather let the message of The Gospel offend on its own.”
Regarding the benefits of posting the response video, Schultz said:
The biggest benefit—by] far—I’ve seen is people remarking that they understand how to respond to that type of question (did God make us the way that we are?) which is a huge question apparently in the church. And in the past, response videos have led to fruit in the form of people returning back to church, rekindling a passion for Jesus, and turning to Jesus for the first time. So, I continue to do them, along with answering questions, as long as The Lord will let me.
