Brandon Lake posted a video of himself watching Bodie perform and cheering the contestant on. Lake told his followers that his wife, Brittany, had signed him up for “The Voice,” and that he was asked to do a private audition, but he refused because “God told me that wasn’t going to be my story.” Lake nevertheless felt that he got to be part of “The Voice” through Bodie.

Christian artist Phil Wickham commented on Lake’s post, “Yesss👏👏👏👏 so rad Brandon!!!” Bodie replied to Lake, saying, “brooooo you’re such an incredible inspiration to me and so many others. such an incredible honor to sing this song on TV. love u brother.”
