New Season Church and Hiland Park Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida, are both under review for removal from friendly cooperation with the SBC for hosting and allowing Hunt to preach at their churches after credible allegations of abuse against Hunt came to light.
The review was initiated after then-SBC Abuse Reform Implementation Task Force (ARITF) member Todd Benkert reported the two churches to the SBC Credentials Committee.
Hunt did not reply to ChurchLeaders’ request for comment.
