For example, he said, “Either we have a gospel that we believe and we have a moral law from God…or else we believe that Christ allows each of us to make up our own moral law. The latter is no gospel at all.”
“And that doesn’t mean that one needs to be mean or that you have to yell at people. It just means coming out with some statements that are clear and not being apologetic about it,” Cooper said.
Nevertheless, Cooper indicated that he feels no malice toward fellow Christian artists who disagree with him on sexual ethics.
“I’m not naming names out of spite or anger, but out of love for the protection of God’s people, and the standard of his Word,” Cooper said. “If we don’t stop this insanity now, what is going to happen to the church in America? What gospel will we hand down to the next generation?”
