Pastor Pleads Guilty to Weapons Offense After One of His Sons Accidentally Shoots Other Son in the Head

Members of River Valley Baptist Church and the surrounding community have continued to voice their support for the Vines family. They have celebrated Daniel’s recovery as a miracle. 

“We know what the Lord done for that young one. It’s a miracle,” said one church member. “We had a miracle and that little boy came through.”

Another church member remarked, “God’s a miracle-working God. I’m thankful for it, ‘cause I know they are.”

Vines was sentenced to 45 days of prison time, according to WBTV. However, his sentence was suspended for 12 months of supervised probation. He will be required to take a firearms safety course. He will also be charged a $200 fine and is required to pay court fees.
