Brian Houston Says His ‘Ladies and Girls Kissing’ Post Was Due to His Account Being Hacked

Houston has been surrounded by controversy for the past few years. After being charged with attempting to conceal his father’s sexual abuse, Hillsong Church’s founder resigned from Hillsong in March 2022 following a required disciplinary sabbatical for substance abuse and inappropriate activity involving women. Just last year, Houston was sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty for a DUI in California.

On Aug. 17, 2023, an Australian magistrate found Houston not guilty of covering up his father’s sexual abuse.

On Nov. 29, 2023, Houston announced that he and his wife would be “starting a weekly online ministry and church in 2024.”
