“The Chosen,” Season 4, is being released in theaters in 30 foreign territories. In Brazil last week, those episodes released on more than 1,100 movie screens—about one-third of the country’s total screens. As a result, “The Chosen” reached No. 2 at the box office there.
At the end of a press tour in Rio de Janeiro, some images from the show were projected onto the 124-foot Christ the Redeemer statue. “Obrigado, Brazil!” (“Thanks, Brazil!”) a message read.
