“If you’re out there with whatever, a dark, dark season for you,” he said, “I just want to encourage you that there is a God [who] not only exists but sees you and wants to be near you and comfort you and give you a hope beyond what you’re currently dealing with.”
Lecrae described many hardships of life that we cannot change, reverse, or solve. While these circumstances can derail people, “God wants to give us a unique hope that transforms that,” he said.
“What we’re struggling with is the brokenness of our reality. We live in a broken world,” he said. “But God has entered into this broken world.”
Lecrae then presented the gospel to viewers. “Jesus, the Christ, the Savior, has come to bring restoration and healing,” he offered. “And if you’ve been running from that or if you’ve ignored that, you don’t have to do that anymore. Surrender.”
The artist will never know how many people were encouraged by his words and God’s prompting. “Whoever this is for, here you go,” posted Lecrae alongside the video.
Praying for viewers, Lecrae said, “God, I don’t even do this. This is almost weird to me.”
“I’m just praying for anyone out there who needs to know that Jesus is their hope and their healing,” the rapper prayed. “God, help us to just turn away from trying to do it our way, and surrender to you.”
“Love ya’ll,” Lecrae said as he ended the video.
Lecrae’s words of encouragement resonated with his fans and followers as his video received nearly 55,000 likes and hundreds of comments between both Instagram and TikTok.
“Thank you for following the Spirit’s prompting and sharing what could be perceived as cheesy but was straight from your heart. We need more of this in the world—share as God leads,” one person wrote. “Thank you for the way you are encouraging so many of us! Keep doing what you’re doing, including TikTok cheesy posts!”
