Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis guaranteed the country that “Florida will be conducting its own investigation regarding the attempted assassination at Trump International Golf Club.” DeSantis said, “The people deserve the truth about the would be assassin and how he was able to get within 500 yards of the former president and current GOP nominee.”

Former Vice President Mike Pence

Former Vice President Mike Pence thanked God that Trump was unharmed. “Thanking God this morning that President Trump was unharmed in yesterday’s assassination attempt,” he posted. “Grateful for the swift professionalism of Secret Service and local law enforcement that undoubtedly saved lives and apprehended the suspect in record time. God bless them all.”

Worship Leader Sean Feucht

Worship leader Sean Feucht called for Christians to join him in a three-day period of prayer and fasting. “I cannot believe what is happening right now,” Feucht said in an Instagram video. “This is unbelievable. How does this happen?”

“We are in the midst of a crisis right now in America,” Feucht added. “I just want people to wake up. I don’t know about you, but I want to wake up. Talk is cheap. Going online and spouting rhetoric is cheap. Posting Bible verses is cheap. We need to fast and pray.”

“We are in the midst of a spiritual war and there spiritual forces that want to take out our nation. They want to kill and sow chaos into America and cause fear an turmoil. We need to rise up in our calling as worshipers and intercessors to pray,” Feucht said. “I just want to go to war in the Spirit and I want to ask you to join me.”

Seminary President Albert Mohler

Dr. Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, called the second attempt on Trump’s life a “sobering moment for Americans,” saying, “Americans should thank God that the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump was ended without violence. This is a sobering moment for Americans.”

“No society can survive a descent into political violence. This is a point that should be affirmed by all—now,” Mohler said.

The founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirkwrote, “They are going to keep trying to kill Trump. This is only beginning. This stops only when we win in November.”
