‘The Chosen’ Series Has Been Changing Lives Since 2017

Since December 2017, “The Chosen” has brought the Bible to life, through the eyes of those who knew Jesus personally.

Jenkins closed a recent livestream by sharing a letter from Larry, a fan of “The Chosen.”

“Hello,” Larry began. “I just needed to let you all know something. And, if possible the whole team of the show know this.”

Larry shared how he went to church as a child and never “felt” impacted by Scripture or the teachings. “That feeling of nothingness never went away,” he said, so he chose to be an atheist at age 22.

He recently discovered “The Chosen” on TikTok and began to watch. “I’m still not sure where I stand at the moment,” Larry admitted. “But, I’m currently watching S2E6.”

Larry said that he remembered the scene where Jesus explains that a shepherd doesn’t go after the 99 sheep; he goes after the one. Larry began to weep thinking of the things he had done in his own life.

A father to two young children, Larry often watches the series with his kids. “Thank you. It piqued my interest that was really never there—even as a kid—and has gotten me to wanting more,” he wrote.

Countless others have been personally touched and impacted by the series.
