“The Bible said Israel would be scattered and regathered (fulfilled in 1948) and that Persia (modern Iran) would rise against her (Ezekiel 38–39),” said Laurie. “Jesus said, ‘When you see these things begin to happen, look up!’ (Luke 21:28).”
“He didn’t say freak out—He said look up,” said the pastor. “Bible prophecy isn’t to scare us, but to prepare us. Let’s be ready. Let’s be prayerful. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”

Dr. Ed Stetzer, editor-in-chief of Outreach Magazine and the dean of the Talbot School of Theology, simply posted, “This is a great time to pray.”
Steve Deace, podcaster and author of “A Nefarious Plot,” praised President Trump’s leadership, saying, “Once Iran did what it sadly has always done under its current bloodthirsty/oppressive regime…he did not get in the way beforehand and has been supportive afterwards as Israel took out the trash.”
Troy A. Miller, president and CEO of National Religious Broadcasters, also praised Trump’s actions and said, “Israel is fully justified in defending itself against Iran—a regime responsible for the murder of Jews and Christians around the world.”
Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, general secretary of the World Council of Churches, condemned Israel’s actions, saying in a statement:
Such aggression endangers the entire Middle East region, reignites cycles of violence, and risks triggering a catastrophic war with global implications. It challenges all efforts made through diplomacy and dialogue, and gravely undermines the pursuit of peace, justice, and human dignity.
Former Vice President Mike Pence posted, “Iran must never be allowed to obtain a usable nuclear weapon. The Mullahs in Tehran refused to dismantle their nuclear program. Now it must be destroyed. Our prayers and unwavering support are with Israeli Forces. America Stands With Israel.”
