6. Robert Griffin III

After eight seasons as an NFL quarterback, Robert Griffin III—known as RG3—is now a college football analyst. The outspoken Christian, 35, often posts about faith. “Thank you God for everything,” he recently wrote. “I will never be ashamed to declare you.”
Following the Sept. 10 assassination of Charlie Kirk, RG3 wrote, in part:
We need to pray for America. Pray for Charlie Kirk’s family after he was gunned down today and killed. Pray for the family of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska who was murdered on a train in cold blood in Charlotte, North Carolina…The names and places are endless. The senseless murders too frequent. Pray for America because it is broken. Pray for America because we have to stop spreading hate and division. Look at what we have become. God help us all.

RG3, who is married to his second wife and has four children, said a relationship with God involves confessing your sins and then moving forward. “Faith without works is nothing,” he explained, referencing James 2:17. “You have to put the work in and make sure that you’re doing your part.”
In 2021, while speaking to Faith on the Field, RG3 described his approach to evangelism. “I try to live in a way that exudes that faith,” he said. “I’m not trying to pressure anybody. You know, I’m not trying to say, ‘Hey, you have to do it this way.’ I’m just trying to be a beacon in the light by the way that I live and by the way that I talk and go about my life.”
