The anointing of God isn’t just for those with a particular calling or office or role as a public communicator. The anointing is for you when you’re living and walking in close fellowship with God.

Yesterday, I posted about what to do when church work just hurts. Today, here are some the reasons I still love ministry, even when it’s tough.

It is so easy to go down the path of self-importance, but nothing could be further from the truth. You must be constantly reminding yourself of the fact that God doesn't need you.

Pride will kill you. Forever. Pride is the sin most likely to keep you from crying out for a Savior. Those who think they are well will not look for a doctor, but there are subtle symptoms of pride we all need to be aware of. 

Church membership is down and let me put this out there: If you are a follower of Christ, you should be a member of a church. Period. Here’s why.

"Don’t take it personally.” That may be the worst piece of advice I’ve ever received about ministry. It fails on so many levels. Because ministry is relational. It’s passionate. It’s sacrificial. It’s overwhelmingly personal.
