A combination of topical scripture study, scripture memory, and some history of spiritual awakenings, the daily homework assignments will require a disciplined approach.  Averaging 4 to 5 pages a day, participants can expect to invest 30 minutes to an hour 5 days a week.

Fresh Encounter will be just the ticket for certain groups.  With its focus on spiritual renewal, it will be most appropriate for those who long for personal revival and a return to their first love (Revelation 2:4).  Because of the extensive homework, getting everything out of it will make full commitment very important.

If you have small groups or Bible studies looking for challenge and a fresh encounter with God, this will be a great study to have on your recommended list.  Like me, you probably know people who still refer to Experiencing God as the study that awakened them to God’s work in their lives.  Fresh Encounter will no doubt acquire that same reputation as a life-changing experience.
