As Florida governor Ron DeSantis seeks to win the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election, he is making a concerted effort to win over evangelical voters, touting his faith and pro-life bona fides. 

With growing uncertainty surrounding evangelical support for former President Donald Trump, DeSantis is courting one of the Republican Party’s most sought-after constituencies.

During a recent panel discussion on the Victory Channel’s FlashPoint, author Eric Metaxas voiced his support for Donald Trump in the 2024 election amid rumblings of the candidacy of Florida governor Ron DeSantis.

On Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis received loud applause and standing ovations while giving a welcome address at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) 2023.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who’s expected to announce his presidential bid soon, praised Daniel Penny as “a good Samaritan” for protecting people. But U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who attended Jordan Neely’s funeral on Saturday, told a reporter that DeSantis “should read the Bible.”

'This legislation, if adopted, would incite fear and create barriers of needed care that our church immigrant and refugee ministries engage,' reads a letter signed by hundreds of Latino pastors, faith leaders and congregants.
