After Hillsong Church member won the latest season of “The Voice Australia,” social media buzzed with allegations that the show is rigged and promotes the evangelical megachurch.

Jim Ranger is the campus pastor and worship leader for New Life Church’s Southwest Campus in Bakersfield, California. The talented musician also received a three-chair-turn from the judges on the popular television talent show "The Voice."

Todd Tilghman, a pastor, husband, and father of eight, has just become the new champion on NBC’s 'The Voice.' "Honestly, I’m just really grateful," says Tilghman. "I don’t know another word to say."

While expressing appreciation for the community-wide support, the father of eight calls his family “the fan club that matters most.”

Worship leader Kimberli Joye Rush is no stranger to gospel music. The contestant on "The Voice" season 15 introduced the genre to a lot of fans of the show, though. She and a fellow contestant took the entire audience to church with their powerful renditions of popular gospel songs.
