Christmas Student Ministry (cont.)
3. Send students out with the gospel.
Finally, we all know that Christmas student ministry gatherings are great. But this is also a unique season to send students out as gospel witnesses.
At the heart of Christmas is this truth: God came to us. He initiated salvation, took on flesh, and gave His life for us. As Timothy Keller reminds us, “Christmas means that we are so lost, so unable to save ourselves, that nothing less than the death of the Son of God himself could save us” (Hidden Christmas).
That message is too good not to share.
Practical ideas:
-
Equip students with simple ways to explain the gospel at Christmas.
-
Challenge them to pray for one friend or neighbor and look for opportunities to share.
-
Provide invite cards or digital graphics they can share for upcoming services.
Don’t miss the moment!
Christmas is more than a busy season. It’s an open door. Use it to:
-
Ground students in the gospel story.
-
Gather them for community and service.
-
Send them out to share Christ’s hope with the lost.
This December, let’s make sure our students don’t just celebrate Christmas. Let’s help them live it out.
