As President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance are recognizing Veterans Day with a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, Nov. 11, Franklin Graham and other well-known ministry leaders and influencers are expressing their gratitude for our nation’s veterans.
“I want to thank the men and women of the U.S. military who have served to protect us and the freedoms we enjoy,” Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, posted on social media. “We owe them and their families a great debt of gratitude for their sacrifices. Let’s honor our veterans, thank God for them, and pray for them today and every day! My youngest son served 16 years in the U.S. Army.”
Author, speaker, and former professional athlete Tim Tebow posted, “Thank you to the incredible men and women of our armed forces whose unwavering sacrifice and dedication protect our nation. May God’s blessings be abundant for you and your families. Happy Veterans Day!”
Pastor Greg Laurie said, “Today we pause to honor the brave men and women who have worn the uniform of our nation. Freedom is never free—it has been purchased through courage, sacrifice, and often great personal cost.”
“As Jesus said, ‘Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends’ (John 15:13). To every veteran, we say thank you,” said Laurie.
“Thank you for standing in the gap, for protecting our families, and for serving with honor. May we never take for granted the liberties you’ve defended,” he continued. “And let’s remember—the greatest freedom of all is the freedom found in Christ, who laid down His life to set us free from sin and death. God bless our veterans. God bless America.”
Pastor Tom Buck wrote, “On this Veteran’s Day, I’m thankful for all the veterans who have faithfully served our country. We continue to enjoy the freedom we have because of your dedicated and sacrificial service. Thank you for all you’ve done!”
Former Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) President and Pastor Ronnie Floyd said, “On this Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2025, I give honor where honor is due, which is to all the veterans of the United States Armed Forces.”
“To all serving today and to all veterans, I honor you and thank you for your service to our nation,” said Floyd. “God bless you and God bless America.”
Pastor Robert Jeffress shared that First Baptist Dallas launched a new veterans ministry. “Happy Veterans Day! Today, we honor the men and women who have served our country with courage and sacrifice,” Jeffress said. “We’re also excited to celebrate the launch of our new Veterans Ministry at First Dallas — a place to connect, support, and walk alongside veterans and their families.”
Paula White-Cain, the president and founder of the National Faith Advisory Board, posted, “Today we honor all of the military veterans of the United States Armed Forces.”
“To anyone who has served or who is currently serving our amazing country – THANK YOU! God bless you,” she said. “We pray blessing, peace and comfort over you, in the name of Jesus! HAPPY VETERANS DAY!”
