Christians ought to “fight back on our knees” following the shocking murder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) cofounder and Executive Director Charlie Kirk,” Franklin Graham said in an appearance on “Fox & Friends.”

“This young man [the suspect] thought he could take Charlie’s voice by killing him. He’s just magnified it,” said Graham, who is president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

“How do we fight back after Charlie Kirk’s assassination?” Graham posted on X Monday, Sept. 14. “I told @FoxAndFriends this morning that as Christians, we fight back on our knees, taking our petitions and prayers straight to Almighty God.”

Franklin Graham on Charlie Kirk’s Murder

On Wednesday, Sept. 10, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) cofounder and Executive Director Charlie Kirk was speaking at Utah Valley University when he was shot in the neck. Kirk was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed to his wound.

On Friday, officials announced that they had apprehended 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as a suspect in Kirk’s murder. Kirk, who was 31 years old when he died, leaves behind his wife, Erika, and two young children.

When asked, “What do you say to the country right now?,” Graham referenced the Unite the Kingdom protest that took place in London on Saturday, citing reporting by the BBC that put the number of participants at up to 150,000.

The protest included a tribute to Charlie Kirk and featured an appearance by Elon Musk. The BBC also reported that 26 police officers at the event were injured by violent protestors.

“[Kirk’s] voice is being magnified,” said Graham. He referenced part of Musk’s address where the tech billionaire said that “violence is coming, and you can choose to fight back or you die. And Charlie was about fighting back,” Graham said, by means of “voting in conservatives and getting rid of these woke politicians that are destroying our country.”

Graham said that the way Christians “fight back [is] on our knees. We can get on our knees, and we can call on the name of God, and we can go straight to the presence of Almighty God and make our petitions known to him.”

As Christians, we fight back on our knees, taking our petitions and prayers straight to Almighty God, said Franklin Graham.Click to Post
