Christian apologist Cliffe Knechtle is known for tackling hard questions about faith in public settings — and few topics generate more tension among believers than the relationship between Christianity and politics.

“America is a great country when America follows Jesus Christ,” Knechtle said. “America turns downright ugly and evil when America turns its back on Christ. I don’t care if it’s slavery, child sex trafficking, the exportation of pornography, out of control greed, [or] out of control use of power.”
But Knechtle was careful not to let that conviction slide into partisan allegiance.
