7 New Year’s Resolutions for Children’s Ministry Leaders

4. Read books. Leaders read. Set a goal to read a certain number of books in 2022.  If you are looking for books about leadership in children’s ministry, you’ve come to the right place.  Here are some great books to kick off your reading plan. You can see them at this link.

5. Invest in yourself so you can grow as a leader. Attend a conference. Join a coaching experience (check out the Advance CM Coaching program), take some online courses. Spend more time reading God’s Word. Network with some other children’s ministry leaders in your area.

6. Write 5 appreciation notes each week. Keep a stack of thank you cards on your desk. Each week send a hand-written note of encouragement to 5 people.

7. Spend more time with your family. Remember your greatest ministry is your family. Don’t get so consumed with helping other families, that you shortchange your own family. Have blocked off time each week that is reserved for one group of people…your family.  Spend your days off with them. Spend holidays making memories with them.

Stick with these 7 resolutions and a year from now you will see the great results. Here’s hat’s off for 2022. It’s going to be a great year. Can’t wait to see what God does in us and through us.

The gym that is full right now? Come back in March and there will be a lot less people there.  People tend to drop out after a few months. Same thing happens with many new year’s resolutions. If we are not intentional, after a few weeks our goals get lost in the busyness of life. Don’t let that happen to you. If you want to see great results, then you need to stick with your goals for all of 2022. Make your list of goals and put it somewhere that you will see it each day.
