“House of David” Season 2 premieres Sunday, Oct. 5 exclusively on Wonder Project’s subscription channel on Prime Video.
The first episode picks up right where “House of David” Season 1 left viewers. David has defeated the Philistine giant Goliath but is thrust into the heat of battle alongside Jonathan as King Saul confronts his demons head-on.
Created by Jon Erwin, “House of David” stars Michael Iskander as David, Ali Suliman as Saul, Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam, Stephen Lang as Samuel, Indy Lewis as Mychal, Yali Topol Margalith as Mirab, Ethan Kai as Jonathan, Sam Otto as Eshbaal, Oded Fehr as Abner, Louis Ferreira as Jesse, Davood Ghadami as Eliab, Aury Alby as Joab, and Alexander Uloom as Achish.
Episode 1 of Season 2 will leave viewers breathless as they watch a biblical battle unfold on their screens—one that could receive applause from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.

ChurchLeaders recently spoke with “House of David” writer and director Jon Gunn (“Jesus Revolution,” “Unbreakable Boy,” “Ordinary Angels“).
Gunn discussed the success of “House of David” Season 1, which garnered 44 million views and is estimated to have reached 80 million people. He shared that Season 2 will dive deeper into character development and complex themes. The director emphasized the importance of respecting the biblical source material and the exciting narrative developments in Season 2.
The Bible provides such “incredible framework” for the story of David, Gunn explained. “Like, we know the basic beats of what happened and sometimes the Bible will stop for a minute and give you a tremendous amount of detail about the measurements of the tabernacle, but other times it’s right over really important story points [that make you ask] how did we get from here to there.”
“When you approach it with real respect and honor for the source material, it becomes a wonderful challenge to find how might somebody have gotten from here to there,” Gunn said. “Or what might it have felt like to be in that situation.”
