3. AJ Green
A.J. Green, 26, is beginning his fourth NBA season, all with the Milwaukee Bucks. In April 2022, while announcing he was leaving the University of Northern Iowa to turn pro, Green wrote, “I trust God’s plan for my future,” adding “1 Timothy 4:8-9.”
Earlier this month, when the Bucks let each player make a post to the team’s X account, Green shared the words of John 14:6. In that verse, Jesus proclaims, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
In response, evangelist Franklin Graham posted, “It’s always great to see people who aren’t afraid to share their faith in Jesus Christ…Of all the things AJ Green could have shared, he decided to share Scripture.” Graham concluded, “God bless AJ!”

In August, Green was part of an NBA delegation that played an exhibition game in Bhutan. About the “Hoops for Happiness” tour, the athlete wrote, “Blessed to have had the opportunity to share my love for Jesus and the game of basketball with the great people and country of Bhutan!” Green included the words of Ephesians 3:20.
