Bradley Reynolds, a former administrator and former professor at Truett McConnell University (TMU) in Cleveland, Georgia, has been indicted by a grand jury on three counts of making false statements to law enforcement. The first count charges Reynolds with falsely denying he had a “sexual relationship” with Hayle Faith Swinson, a former TMU student and former soccer coach, who has accused Reynolds of abuse.

TMU fired its president, Dr. Emir Caner, in September after getting the results of an independent investigation into whether or not Caner had covered up Reynolds’ alleged sexual and spiritual abuse of Swinson.

The indictment against Reynolds was issued the Monday, Dec. 8, and lists three felony charges against Reynolds about statements he made on March 1, 2024, when speaking with Officer Anthony Sims with the White County Sheriff’s Office in Cleveland.

In addition to denying having a “sexual relationship” with Swinson, Reynolds denied using a specific email account and also denied “telling and emailing Haley Faith Swinson that his wife was going to die and that he would make Haley Faith Swinson his second wife.”

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) reports that Swinson gave detectives 300 emails allegedly from Reynolds. DA Jeff Langley said the emails provided “a lot of information involving the sexual relationship.”

A judge issued a warrant for Reynolds’ arrest, with the bond set at $30,000. AJC says that the White County district attorney’s office is giving Reynolds, who reportedly now lives in Texas, two weeks to turn himself in, after which the DA will seek to extradite him.

On May 29, former TMU student Hayle Swinson appeared on the “The Roys Report” podcast, alleging that Bradley Reynolds had groomed and sexually abused her for years. Swinson’s allegations against Reynolds included spiritual abuse and digital rape. She said that Caner and other officials at the school knew about her allegations but did nothing.

After the episode came out, TMU issued a statement saying it didn’t learn about abuse allegations against Reynolds until 2024. When the university did, it placed Reynolds on leave, after which he resigned.

In 2024, Reynolds informed TMU that law enforcement was investigating him, although authorities ultimately decided not to pursue charges. AJC reports that Reynolds “quietly stepped down” from his role at TMU the same day the investigator interviewed him.
