“We are grateful to be surrounded by people he loves and who love him dearly,” Nancy continued.
“Robert is not at all responsive, though the doctors have told us it is possible he can hear the songs, prayers, Scripture, and sweet conversations taking place in this room,” she said. “(This has been a holy place, with many wonderful gospel opportunities throughout these days.).”
Nancy said she and Robert’s family members are experiencing “deep sorrow” yet are worshiping God “for His faithfulness, kindness, and mercy to us and for the privilege of knowing and loving Robert.”
“God’s Word assures us that those who die in Christ will indeed ‘live again.’ That conviction gives us hope through our years of struggling on this earth,” said Nancy. “It has given Robert and me great hope in our own journeys.”
“If Robert could speak, I believe he would want us to know that he is eagerly awaiting the release that will come to him when he takes his last breath on earth and enters into his eternal rest and reward,” she said.
“Thank you for your love and prayers for me and for Robert’s family and friends over these next hours, as we release Robert to the faithful, loving hands of our great Savior,” Nancy told her followers. “You mean more to us than you can know.”
“Heaven rules,” she said as she concluded. “Jesus is near to the brokenhearted.”
