Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth posted an update on Monday, Jan. 8, letting people know that her “dear husband” Robert Wolgemuth “has run his race and is approaching the finish line.” Nancy said her husband is “not at all responsive” and that medical staff are doing everything they can for his comfort.
“This is not a report I had hoped to be sending. But the Lord is making His will known to us and we are saying, ‘Yes, Lord. We surrender to Your plan, knowing that You are good and You can be trusted to write our story,’” said Nancy in a post on X. “Nearly three years ago, Robert released a book called ‘Finish Line.’ The subtitle is: ‘Dispelling fear, finding peace, and preparing for the end of your life.’ Robert believes and has beautifully lived the message of that book.”

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Husband Robert Wolgemuth Only Has Days
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth is a prominent Bible teacher, speaker, and author of books such as “Lies Women Believe: And the Truth that Sets Them Free.” She founded the Revive Our Hearts ministry and hosts the “Revive Our Hearts” radio program.
Robert Wolgemuth is a former president of Thomas Nelson Publishers and the founder of Wolgemuth & Associates. He is an award-winning, bestselling author of numerous books, including “Gun Lap,” “Lies Men Believe,” and (co-authored with Nancy) “You Can Trust God To Write Your Story.”
Nancy and Robert wed in 2015. It was her first marriage and his second following the death of his wife of 44 years.
On Dec. 31, Nancy told her followers that on Christmas Eve Robert had been “admitted to the hospital with double pneumonia. Sunday he was placed on a ventilator. Tonight we continue to wait to see what the Lord has planned for him and for us.”
“Since my last update, we have had discussions with members of Robert’s family and his dedicated medical team,” she said in her Jan. 8 report. “After much prayer and with trust in God’s sovereignty, we have decided to transition to comfort-focused care for Robert.”
“The loving nurses and doctors here are doing all they can to help give him a pain-free, anxiety-free death,” Nancy added.
Citing Psalm 139:16, Nancy noted that God alone knows the number of our days. “But we anticipate that within the next few days, Robert will be with Jesus,” she said. “He has told me many times that ‘Bobbie [his late wife] showed us how to die, and I am not afraid.’”
