Adam Ross, a Cincinnati-based entrepreneur and lifelong Christian, is answering what he describes as an unexpected calling from God by stepping into the podcast space with “See The King.”

Ross said the podcast was born, not out of a love for media, but from a clear prompting from God during a period of intense spiritual testing. Though he came to faith at age 7, Ross said it wasn’t until his late 30s that he fully surrendered his life to Christ—an awakening that reshaped his priorities and ultimately led him to launch the podcast just months ago.

Since its launch, Ross has hosted conversations with Skillet frontman John CooperColton Dixon, 1KPhew, Bryce CrawfordRuslan and Cole LeBrant.

“I’m going to be completely transparent. I don’t listen to podcasts. I haven’t historically,” Ross told ChurchLeaders. “I went through a series of spiritual attacks and God put it on my heart to start this. Through my life, I’ve learned where God leads I follow and I follow blindly.”

“So when [God] pretty clearly told me, ‘Hey, I want you to start this podcast’ and he gave me the blueprint for it,” Ross said, he just “did it.”

Describing “See The King,” Ross said his focus is simply following where the Lord leads.

“The beautiful thing about faith is everyone has their own personal relationship and you can learn from every single person,” he said. “It’s not a question and answer [podcast]. It’s not like, hey, I’m having this person on. Let’s learn about their life. This is all about God.”

Ross continued, “So if you have 20 million followers, if you have 1,000 followers, if you have no followers, you don’t have social media, we’re there to talk about God, and your experiences should bleed into that discussion to provide wisdom to the listeners.” He added, “The whole idea here is just to reach people with God’s Word. We pick a verse, we pick a passage, and we just dive in, and we go where the Spirit leads us.”

The entrepreneur encouraged listeners that “God will use you if you let him.”

“It’s that simple,” Ross said, “if you just say yes to his calling, he will work it out.”
