Jonathan Roumie Opens Up About Injuries, Emotional Toll of Filming Crucifixion in ‘The Chosen’ Season 6

“Just based on the handful of messages that I go through from time to time,” Roumie said, “it’s profound. It’s profound how [God] is using the show and Hallow and these things that I’m involved with to bring people back to him—it’s absolutely profound.”

Roumie shared that he has spoken with numerous converts who were once atheists, Church of Satan followers, and others who haven’t attended church in years.

“I take screenshots of these just to compile all of these moments that the Lord has entered into these people’s lives and just to give thanks,” he said. “I couldn’t have imagined this would be what I would be doing as an actor—there’s no context or expectation that this was ever going to be something that I would be a part of.”

“It’s humbling to say the least,” Roumie concluded.

Season 6 of “The Chosen” releases this fall. Seasons 1-5 are streaming now on Prime Video.
