Pastor Jamal Bryant Declares End of ‘Target Fast’ After Nearly 400 Days

Bryant said Target still does not have a partnership with any Black-owned bank but that his group has submitted a list of Black banks to Target, and discussions are ongoing.

“We have not been able to get all that we have desired, but I am grateful for the strides that we have made,” said Bryant. “For the Target Fast that really reflects the faith-based component of this, we are claiming victory. And I believe that our generation needs to see victory. The reason why that is important is because our generation has only seen settlements.” 

“Our generation has only seen settlements and has never seen victory,” he repeated. “And so I wanted this generation to know that there is power in your voice.”
