“In that scene with in ‘The Chosen’ with Jesus and Little James when he says, ‘Oh, just remember you are going to be healed; it’s only a matter of time,’” Jenkins said. “We just think of time in a different way than God thinks of time. We’re just so focused on this side of eternity.”

“But we also think of healing and miracles, physical miracles, as the best thing. And I think what I’ve always interpreted from your message,” he shared, “is physical healing isn’t always the best thing. It’s not always the number one miracle. It’s not always the thing that will impact the most people or change the most hearts.”

“That’s what I’ve seen with my wife. It’s what I’ve seen with our closest friend whose husband was suddenly killed in an accident with three young children,” said Jenkins. “And for years, of course, she went through that suffering and has said, ‘I have learned more from it and have drawn closer to God because of that than if it hadn’t happened.’”

“That’s a theology that I think more people need to not only understand but embrace and love,” Jenkins said.
