Daystar also recently made headlines for having received $3.9 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans during the pandemic, which it later paid back after it was revealed by Inside Edition that the ministry had recently purchased a private jet that was allegedly used for family vacations. Lamb denied that accusation, saying that trips that involved his family were “working vacations.”

In a tweet on Tuesday, Jonathan Lamb said, “I’m at a loss for words today. My father was promoted to heaven at 4am this morning. His life was truly well-lived and there’s no doubt that he heard ‘well done my good and faithful servant’ when he entered heaven’s gates.”
“I’m going to really miss Dad. We golfed together every week for the past 15 years. He impacted me by demonstrating a righteous way to live and helped me become the man I am today. Dad, I love you so much and I’m going to do my best to carry on your legacy,” the younger Lamb concluded.
